You're safe right now
Your body is reacting to fear, but you are safe
Let's calm your body together
Slow your breathing
Breath in - 4 seconds
Hold - 4 seconds
Breath out - 6 seconds
Longer exhales helps your body calm down
Nothing is wrong with you - your body is trying to protect you
Look around
Look around your space
Name 3 things you can see around
Say quietly: I am safe right now
Draw your feeling
Take a piece of paper and draw what you feel
It doesn't have to look good - just let it out
Your feelings don't have to stay inside
Comfort and hugs
Wrap yourself in a blanket
Hug a pillow
Or hug someone you trust
Your body feels safer with warmth and connection
Kind words to yourself
Say quietly:
I am safe right now
This feeling will pass
I can get through this moment
I am not alone
Fear is a feeling - not a danger
My thoughts are not my reality, I survived my fear before and I will again
I am doing better just by being here
I don't need to figure anything out right now
Guided meditation and game is coming up - stay tuned.
